Soccer Recap: Cleburne Comes Up Short

Cleburne lost against Mansfield Summit back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cleburne Yellowjackets fell 2-0 to the Mansfield Summit Jaguars. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Cleburne and nudges their season record down to 5-10-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 15-2 Everman (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.5% over those games). As for Mansfield Summit, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleburne will head out to challenge Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield Summit, they will head out on the road to face off against Everman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Everman's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Mansfield Summit's offense will have their work cut out for them.
