Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaylah Smith and Princes Webster Lead Lockland to Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Lockland challenged Cincinnati College Prep Academy on Saturday. The Lockland Panthers walked away with a 48-36 victory over the Cincinnati College Prep Academy Lions. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 52-17 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lockland was led to victory by Princes Webster and Jaylah Smith. Webster dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards, while Smith dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 19 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alayah Jefferson, who posted seven points.

Lockland was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Lockland's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Cincinnati College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Lockland has already played their next match, a 63-25 loss against Middletown Christian on the 19th. Cincinnati College Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
