Basketball Recap: Stall Takes a Loss

Stall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes 75-26. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Swamp Foxes are ranked sixth).

Despite the loss, Stall still got an impressive performance from JaNia Griffin, who posted 16 points and six boards. Those 16 points gave Griffin a new career-high.

Skyla Tuthill was her usual excellent self, putting up 12 points for Ashley Ridge. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia President, who earned 12 points.

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Ashley Ridge, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

Stall has already played their next game, an 87-18 defeat against West Ashley on the 7th. As for Ashley Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-48 victory against Summerville on the 7th.
