League recap: Nelsen throws longest pass in league this season for Central Bucks East

Zach Nelsen and Connor O'Keefe provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Abington. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Suburban One - Continental this season.

Quakertown scaled the state rankings by moving to 184 from 252 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers were able to make move up by beating Cheltenham 24-7.

John Fitz was the best running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 176 yards as Central Bucks West lost to the Galloping Ghosts. Marvin Todd also contributed to the rushing game with 33 yards on the ground.

O'Keefe was the best wideout in Suburban One - Continental this week as the Patriots fell to Abington. O'Keefe tallied 4 receptions for 92 yards. Ryan Kronmiller helped Central Bucks East's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 51 yards.

Matt Radwanski put up the best numbers through the air as Central Bucks South bested Notre Dame. He finished with 16 completions for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. Radwanski's favorite target this week was Kevin Moran, who caught 3 passes for 67 yards.

He was 16-28 with 0 interceptions.

Central Bucks East's Nelsen and Brandon Ilkiw have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Nelsen has thrown for 739 yards this season, while Ilkiw has 9 catches for 216 yards. Josh Adams from the Titans leads the league in rushing with 362 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Central Bucks South takes on Hatboro-Horsham. Dave Rackovan's team is currently in fifth, while the Hatters are in third.

Hatboro-Horsham lost to Council Rock North 56-26 last week, the largest margin of any game.
