Soccer Game Preview: Mesa Ridge vs. Canon City

Mesa Ridge hasn't had much luck against Canon City recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Grizzlies will head out to take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Mesa Ridge has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mesa Ridge managed to slip by Palmer the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Grizzlies lost 5-0 to the Terrors on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canon City). They never let Harrison get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Canon City with their most commanding win of the season.

Canon City picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-6-3. As for Mesa Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Mesa Ridge suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Canon City in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
