Baseball Game Preview: Turpin Spartans vs. Lebanon Warriors

The Turpin Spartans will face off against the Lebanon Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Saturday, Turpin earned an 8-4 win over Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool.

Five must be Lebanon's lucky number: they beat Sidney with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Warriors beat the Yellowjackets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4.

Vincent Strickland was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Christian Feldkamp was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lebanon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Turpin, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Turpin was able to grind out a solid win over Lebanon in their previous meeting on Friday, winning 6-3. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
