Soccer Recap: State College Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, State College was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mechanicsburg Wildcats by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mechanicsburg this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in September.

State College dropped their record down to 10-6-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mechanicsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. State College will take on rival Chambersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mechanicsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Cumberland Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
