While Juneau-Douglas's win against Sitka wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crimson Bears skirted past the Wolves 16-14. The victory was familiar territory for the Crimson Bears, who have now won five matches in a row.

Taiya Bentz was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Tatum Billings was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Juneau-Douglas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Juneau-Douglas pushed their record up to 18-13-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Sitka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14-4.

Juneau-Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sitka, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ketchikan on Friday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Kings have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
