The Leon Lions will face off against the Aucilla Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Leon got the win against Mosley by a conclusive 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Dolphins: they've now won four in a row.

Taylor Winfield was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, Kierstyn Fuller and Jailyn Nickeo did most of the damage at the plate: Fuller scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3, while Nickeo scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Trinity Williams, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Aucilla Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Florida State University High School. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 18, 2024.
Harli Ray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Eades, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Leon's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Aucilla Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Aucilla Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Leon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. It's a different story for Aucilla Christian, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Leon's hitters?
