Basketball Recap: Jamestown Victorious

Jamestown lost to Tuscumbia back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Jamestown slipped by the Tuscumbia Lions 70-69. The win made it back-to-back victories for Jamestown.

Jamestown pushed their record up to 6-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Tuscumbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jamestown has already played their next match (against Bunceton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tuscumbia will square off against Vienna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
