The Liberty Ranch Hawks will take on the El Dorado Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Liberty Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
On Friday, Liberty Ranch humbled Argonaut with a 41-14 victory. With the Hawks ahead 28-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Wyatt Corriea had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 164 yards and three scores on only six carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Andrew Quinn, who rushed for 145 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Liberty Ranch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 389 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 314 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Liberty Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Joe Lara, Ryan Ogas, and Daniel Sosa picked up one apiece. Lara is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Dorado). They breezed past Galt to the tune of 41-0 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.
El Dorado's win came from a few key players Liberty Ranch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Villa, who rushed for 57 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Rupley, who threw for 126 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.6 points on average over those games. As for El Dorado, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.
Liberty Ranch strolled past El Dorado in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 56-37. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cougars' Jason Wilson, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Hawks to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
