Basketball Game Preview: Palo Verde Titans vs. Cholla Chargers

The Palo Verde Titans are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Cholla Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palo Verde is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Palo Verde was able to grind out a solid victory over Corona del Sol, taking the game 54-44.

Rashad Ortiz had an outrageously good game as he went 9-for-13 on his way to 23 points. What's more, he also posted a 69% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Kameron Pippen was another key player, shooting 45% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Cholla gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-57 win over Canyon del Oro.

Palo Verde's record is now 3-0. As for Cholla, their record now sits at 1-0.

Palo Verde couldn't quite get it done against Cholla when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as they fell 62-52. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
