Softball Recap: North Stokes Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alleghany last Tuesday, North Stokes came back down to earth. North Stokes fell 7-3 to the East Wilkes Cardinals on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Kaydence Woods made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Madelyn Spencer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

North Stokes now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for East Wilkes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Wilkes beat North Stokes by a score of 15-0 later that day.
