Baseball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-4 to the Fairfield Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.

Foothill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Lane, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That hit marked the first that Lane got this season.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fairfield, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Foothill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-6 victory against Esparto on the 22nd. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Wood on the 21st.
