Football Recap: Gregory-Portland Piles Up the Points Against Miller

Gregory-Portland won against Carroll last Friday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wildcats took their game with ease, bagging a 60-27 win over the Miller Buccaneers. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Leading Gregory-Portland to victory were Cody Adame and Carter Dominguez. Adame gained 211 total yards and three touchdowns, while Dominguez rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Adame's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gregory-Portland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 374 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Gregory-Portland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isaac Gonzales and Eli Supnet. Another thorn in Miller's side was Angel Reyes, who made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Gregory-Portland's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Miller, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Gregory-Portland will take on King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Miller, they will face off against Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
