Baseball Recap: Ballantyne Ridge Comes Up Short

Ballantyne Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Palisades Pumas, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 last Tuesday.

Ballantyne Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Palisades, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Ballantyne Ridge will venture away from home to square off against South Mecklenburg at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sabres' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Palisades, they will welcome Hopewell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
