Recap: Pittsfield Generals vs. Taconic Thunder
It was a good run, but the Pittsfield Generals unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 76-65 to Taconic. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pittsfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Perry, who scored 16 points. The match was Perry's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Pat Brennan, who scored 13 points.
Pittsfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Taconic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Pittsfield will head out on the road to face off against Agawam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Agawam's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Taconic, they will be playing at home against Springfield International at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
