Volleyball Recap: Black River's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Black River was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Oberlin last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Hillsdale Falcons on Tuesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Black River lost, don't look at Remington Dieter. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and one assist. Dieter has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Black River's defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8. As for Hillsdale, they moved to 12-11 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

As of now, neither Black River nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
