Softball Game Preview: Hilliard Red Flashes vs. Bishop Snyder Cardinals

Hilliard is 9-1 against Bishop Snyder since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Hilliard will challenge Bishop Snyder at 6:30 p.m. Hilliard is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Hilliard came up short against West Nassau and fell 4-1. The matchup marked the Red Flashes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nevaeh Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 10-0 to University Christian. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bishop Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Hilliard took their win against Bishop Snyder in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Does Hilliard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Snyder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
