Considering the Scots have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Reese Bryant made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leah Storey, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Madison Weeks was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bonny Eagle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sanford only posted an OBP of .267.
