The Spring Creek Gators will take on the Ayden - Grifton Chargers in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Spring Creek has given up an average of 78.2 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Creek had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least 55 points, but James Kenan put an end to it on Friday. The Gators were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 70-29. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 61-51. While the Chargers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ayden - Grifton's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Spring Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
