Basketball Recap: Kadoka Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Riley Running Enemy and Gus Stout

Kadoka lost against Wall back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Kadoka Kougars received a blow as they fell 70-56 to the Wall Eagles.

Kadoka's loss came despite strong showings from Gus Stout and Riley Running Enemy. Stout dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Running Enemy on his way to 13 points and three steals. That's the most boards Stout has posted since back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Emmet Dinger, who en route to 32 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for Wall. Dinger is becoming a predictor of Wall's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 11-2 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Teelan Kjerstad, who put up 11 points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Kadoka's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Wall, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Kadoka is taking a road trip to face off against Philip at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kadoka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season. Wall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
