Volleyball Recap: Gulliver Prep's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Gulliver Prep and Pine Crest squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gulliver Prep had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Raiders couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Gulliver Prep ultimately came up short, they really made Pine Crest work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 26-24.

Kate Welty paced Gulliver Prep's offense, picking up 11 kills. Welty got some help from Brianna Napoles and her 26 assists. Napoles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Gulliver Prep's loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-8. As for Pine Crest, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-10.

As of now, neither Gulliver Prep nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
