Basketball Recap: Shikellamy Skates Past Midd-West with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Shikellamy's strategy against Midd-West on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Shikellamy Braves blew the Midd-West Mustangs out of the water with a 49-19 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Braves had established a 25 point advantage.

Despite the loss, Midd-West still got an impressive performance from Chase Shattuck, who posted five points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Shattuck a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Romig, who earned eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Shikellamy's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Midd-West, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Shikellamy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-26 loss against Shamokin Area on the 24th. Midd-West has also already played their next contest, a 66-47 defeat against Selinsgrove on the 24th.
