Softball Recap: Southport Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Southport's offense. They came up short against the Franklin Central Flashes on Saturday, falling 14-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Flashes: they've now lost seven in a row.

Southport's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Franklin Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Southport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Bloomington North on the 14th. As for Franklin Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Roncalli on the 12th.
