After losing to Forsyth Central the last time they met, Statesboro decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1.

Statesboro had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Callie Simmons paced Statesboro's offense, picking up six kills. Simmons got some help from Phoebe Hansen and her 21 assists. Hansen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Statesboro's victory bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Forsyth Central, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-17.

Statesboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against White County on the 27th. As for Forsyth Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Seckinger on the 27th.
