Eastside has gone a perfect 3-0 against Flowery Branch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Eastside challenge Flowery Branch at 5:30 p.m. Eastside will be strutting in after a win while Flowery Branch will be coming in after a loss.

Eastside made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Spalding, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Eastside needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Flowery Branch's offense. They came up short against East Jackson on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Flowery Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while East Jackson are ranked 124th).

Eastside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for Flowery Branch, they dropped their record down to 3-8-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Eastside took their victory against Flowery Branch in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
