Baseball Recap: Lowell Takes a Loss

Lowell managed to slip by Morgan Township the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Devils came up short against the Cherokees on Saturday, falling 11-2. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cherokees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lowell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zak Scharnke, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Aiden Aguilar also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lowell and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Morgan Township, their record now sits at 4-12-1.

Lowell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-2 defeat against Andrean on the 5th. As for Morgan Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 win against Tri-Township on the 5th.
