Basketball Recap: Mid-Moore Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

After a string of eight wins, Mid-Moore Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to Grayson Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tornados came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 172nd in Oklahoma, while Grayson Christian are ranked 1234th in Texas).

Several Tornados players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caeson Moore, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Gaddis, who scored 14 points.

Mid-Moore Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Grayson Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Mid-Moore Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Victory Baptist Academy at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday. Grayson Christian has already played their next match (against Heritage Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
