            Softball Recap: Marquette Catholic Explorers vs. Quincy Notre Dame Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            Marquette Catholic started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Quincy Notre Dame. They came up short against  the Raiders on Saturday, falling  15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  17-2  on Saturday.
  Jayla Dickson was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Alyssa Coles, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
Marquette Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Quincy Notre Dame, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.
 Coming up, Marquette Catholic is taking a road trip to  face off against Father McGivney Catholic  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Augusta Southeastern  at 4:30  p.m. The timing is sure in the Raiders' favor as the  squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Suns have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
