Volleyball Recap: Johnson Gets the Win

After losing to Arlington the last time they met, Johnson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Colts 2-1 on Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Arlington saw an underclassman step up: freshman Evelien Hodges had nine digs and two aces. Avery Heinz also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Johnson's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Arlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Johnson will take on Hutto in a tournament on Friday. As for Arlington, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lake Travis on the 21st.
