Volleyball Recap: Cambria Heights Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cambria Heights lost against West Shamokin back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Highlanders fell 3-1 to the Wolves. While the Highlanders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolves 25-18 in the first set.

Cambria Heights started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-16.

Regan Conrad paced Cambria Heights' offense, picking up 13 kills. Conrad got some help from Claire Nihart and her 19 assists. Finally, Julia Karlheim kept Cambria Heights' defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Cambria Heights' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3. As for West Shamokin, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1-1.

Cambria Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Marion Center on the 28th. As for West Shamokin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against United on the 28th.
