Basketball Game Preview: Washington Rams vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs

The Washington Rams will head out to challenge the Copper Canyon Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Washington will head into Wednesday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 81-36 loss at the hands of Central. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Copper Canyon). They took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 70-36 win over Metro Tech.

Copper Canyon is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Washington beat Copper Canyon 57-45 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Does Washington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Copper Canyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
