Basketball Recap: Devin Chester's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Morrow over Westlake

Morrow lost against Westlake back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs received a blow as they fell 71-55 to the Lions. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Morrow's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Chester, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jakye Benjamin, who earned 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morrow fell to 2-1. As for Westlake, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Morrow won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Manchester at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westlake, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
