Baseball Preview: Conifer Lobos vs. South Fork Bulldogs
The Conifer Lobos will take on the South Fork Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Conifer had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Montbello last Monday.
Casey Rummell made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Mason Murphy was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Luke Adams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Conifer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montbello only posted an OBP of .111.
Meanwhile, South Fork waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Thunderhawks 5-3.
