Baseball Recap: First Flight Takes a Loss

The First Flight Nighthawks came up short against the Martin County Gators on Tuesday and fell 6-3. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dylan McAvoy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, First Flight saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiwi Sharp, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Sharp has snagged this season.

First Flight suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-3. As for Martin County, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Gators beat First Flight by a score of 12-0 on Thursday.
