Everything went Northridge's way against Plymouth on Thursday as Northridge made off with a 60-37 win. Northridge found their leader in sophomore Lily Scholl, who went 10 of 14 en route to 27 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Scholl has posted since back in November of 2024. Camryn Conley was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.
Northridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
Goshen played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over Mishawaka.
Goshen's win came from a few key players Northridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sueann Watt, who posted 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Yordy, who earned 11 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
Northridge pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for Goshen, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Northridge hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.5 points per game. It's a different story for Goshen, though, as they've been averaging only 26.3 points. The only thing between Northridge and another offensive beatdown is Goshen. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Northridge against Goshen in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 62-17 win. In that game, Northridge amassed a halftime lead of 47-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
