Volleyball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

Scituate was the 3-0 winner over Silver Lake Regional when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sailors fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Silver Lake Regional scored at least 12 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 15-12.

Anna Bradley paced Scituate's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bradley got some help from Serena Whitelock and her 25 assists. Bradley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Leading Silver Lake Regional to victory were Elora Coffey and Mia Derosa. Coffey had 15 digs and one assist, while Derosa had 11 assists and five kills. Coffey has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Scituate has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Silver Lake Regional, their record is now 8-11.

Scituate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Duxbury on the 22nd. As for Silver Lake Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Quincy on the 23rd.
