With a playoff win on the line, Humboldt rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against Russell/Victoria as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Humboldt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Russell/Victoria, they now have a losing record of 0-1-2.

Looking ahead, Humboldt will take on Trinity Academy at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Cubs surely won't give up without a fight. Russell/Victoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
