The East Union Lancers will venture away from home to face off against the Escalon Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. East Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

East Union is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Central Valley just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-2.

East Union saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Mount, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Brayden Camara was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Escalon hadn't done well against Enochs recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Escalon walked away with a 6-3 victory over Enochs.

East Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Escalon, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

East Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Escalon in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Union since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
