Softball Recap: Rosepine Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Beauregard last Thursday, Rosepine came back down to earth. Rosepine came up short against Holy Savior Menard on Monday, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for Rosepine in their meetings with Holy Savior Menard: they've now lost three in a row.

Rosepine's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-13. As for Holy Savior Menard, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Rosepine will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Holy Savior Menard, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sacred Heart on the 15th.
