Baseball Recap: Pen Argyl's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Pen Argyl's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Salisbury Township Falcons get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Green Knights: when they faced off against the Falcons back in March, they had to take a 7-0 loss.

Cayden Vishnesky was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pen Argyl is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise. Vishnesky was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Nick Haros was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Martini was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs.

Pen Argyl kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

With the victory, Pen Argyl broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-9. As for Salisbury Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Pen Argyl nor Salisbury Township have any future games scheduled.
