Softball Recap: Atlantic Shores Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Grace Christian School

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlantic Shores Christian). They blew past the Grace Christian School Kings 21-4 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Seahawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Trinity Boggs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Genevieve Eichelberger was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Layla Berry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Atlantic Shores Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Atlantic Shores Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Atlantic Shores Christian will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. The Gators will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight. Grace Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
