Preview: New Riegel Blue Jackets vs. Old Fort Stockaders
New Riegel is 0-10 against Old Fort since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The New Riegel Blue Jackets will head out on the road to challenge the Old Fort Stockaders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
New Riegel fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Calvert on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Senecas by a score of 54-52. New Riegel has not had much luck with Calvert recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Old Fort pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Margaretta by a score of 62-59. Old Fort has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
New Riegel's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Old Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
New Riegel opened the new year with a less-than-successful 72-65 loss to Old Fort. Can New Riegel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
