Preview: Fairland Dragons vs. Boyd County Lions
The Fairland Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Boyd County Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fairland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 593 points over their last eight contests.
Last Monday, Fairland strolled past Portsmouth with points to spare, taking the game 68-51.
Fairland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylee Bruce, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Allen, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Boyd County faced Blazer in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Boyd County suffered a rough 70-48 loss at the hands of Blazer on Tuesday.
Fairland pushed their record up to 19-1 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.7 points. As for Boyd County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.
