Volleyball Recap: Washington Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Washington came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mission San Jose Warriors on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Washington was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 14-25, 25-22.

Ethan White paced Washington's offense, picking up 20 kills. White got some help from Kevin Hsieh and his 17 assists. Hsieh was also a major player on defense: he and Jacob Ding shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Mission San Jose, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Newark Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mission San Jose will take on rival Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
