Basketball Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ider on Monday, Sylvania came back down to earth. The Sylvania Rams fell just short of the Collinsville Panthers by a score of 48-45 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Sylvania's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Collinsville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-6.

Sylvania and Collinsville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Sylvania will face off against North Sand Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st down 186 places (347 vs. 161). Meanwhile, Collinsville (ranked 216th) will meet Plainview (ranked 28th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
