Basketball Recap: Talladega Comes Up Short

Talladega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Anniston Bulldogs and fell 56-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 99th).

Talladega lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hope Duncan, who posted ten points. Jekeria Wilson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Talladega's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Anniston, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Talladega has already played their next game, a 65-34 loss against Minor on the 3rd. As for Anniston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-42 defeat against Fort Payne on the 3rd.
