Basketball Recap: Livingston Academy Gets the Win

Livingston Academy won the last time they faced White County and things went their way on Friday too. The Livingston Academy Wildcats escaped with a win against the White County Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40.

White County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathaniel Griffin, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Griffin has posted since back in December of 2024. Tucker Pinion was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory got Livingston Academy back to even at 6-6. As for White County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livingston Academy will welcome Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White County, they will be playing at home against Smith County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
