Softball Recap: Novato Comes Up Short

If Novato was feeling good fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Healdsburg on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell 7-4 to the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Tailed Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

Georgiana Castro was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Novato has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Tamalpais, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Novato will square off against rival Terra Linda at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Tamalpais is set to take on their familiar foe Redwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
